From the East: From I-95, take Exit 130B and head west on VA Route 3 for approximately 14 miles, then turn left at the traffic light onto Constitution Highway (VA Route 20). Continue along Constitution Highway for about 1.5 miles, then turn into the Exhibit Shelter parking lot on the right.

From the West: From Culpeper, head east on VA Route 3 for approximately 18 miles, then turn right at the traffic light onto Constitution Highway (VA Route 20). Continue along Constitution Highway for about 1.5 miles, then turn into the Exhibit Shelter parking lot on the right.

From the South: From the Town of Orange, head north on Constitution Highway (VA Route 20) for approximately 18 miles, then turn into the Exhibit Shelter parking lot on the left..
Paynes Farm

Trailhead for 1.5 mile loop trail starts immediately across Rt. 611 from the church.
The property (preserved by the Civil War Trust) is about 5 miles northwest of the Wilderness Battlefield. You travel west on modern Rt. 20 past the Wilderness Battlefield for about 3 miles, then turn right on Rt. 611 (modern Zoar Rd.,
aka Raccoon Ford Rd. at the time of the battle) Follow Zoar Rd. for about 2 miles.
There is a sign cluster and parking on the left at Zoar Baptist Church.
