The Friends of Wilderness Battlefield enjoys dedicated support from a growing membership that provides both volunteer time and necessary funds! The annual membership dues are the sole source of funding for the work of the organization including battlefield maintenance, interpretation of history at Ellwood, maintenance of the Ellwood grounds, newsletter and educational programs.
If you were to ask members why they choose to support the Friends of Wilderness Battlefield, they may say because of discounted tickets, receipt of the quarterly newsletter, advance notice for FoWB tours and events, or even for the tax deduction.
More likely, the answer will be “because they do excellent work, and I want to be a part of that team.”
Membership categories and dues are listed below. Lieutenant rank and above memberships include yourself and immediate family members. Sergeant and Student levels are individual memberships.
Please select your desired membership level and complete the application. You will have a chance to review your selection and the corresponding dues on the next page prior to your credit card being charged, or you may elect to mail a check.
Please note: Membership fees are separate from donations to the Ellwood Restoration Project. If you are sending one check for both membership dues and a donation please indicate the amounts for each.
Friends of Wilderness Battlefield, Inc. is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to FoWB are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Our tax ID is 42–1689437. FoWB is registered in Virginia as a Charitable Organization. Upon request a financial statement is available from the Virginia State Office of Consumer Affairs in the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Service.
